noted with dismay, the vulnerability to the negative labeling
of the chronic pain patients both by the healthcare
professionals who treat the pain and by others in their lives.

This served as the catalyst that would catapult him to apply

for a Fellowship training in Chronic Pain Management to
accord him the needed tools to provide this group of patients
the comprehensive individualized care they need without any
stigmatization. He completed his fellowship in Anesthesia
(Interventional) Pain Management at the University of Utah,

where he received the prestigious ‘Best Patients’ satisfaction
award. He had bagged the same award at the Mount Sinai
SOM.

Dr. Obah also won the Pfizer Scholars in Pain Management
Award, the first ever at the University. He published several
research publications in peer reviewed journals. He served as
an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of
Utah for a few years before going into private practice. He
encourages a multidisciplinary approach to pain treatment.

Being raised in a close-knit family that cherishes
compassion, integrity, and hard work, Dr. Obah believes that
greatness is measured by the accomplishment of those we aid and continually improves himself to better serve his patients.

He believes that real fulfillment comes from helping others
to heal. He does not mind going the extra mile to provide the
best treatment plan for his patients and derives great joy at
seeing his them living their lives at the fullest.
Away from work, he enjoys spending time with his family,
serving in his church, watching sports and playing ping
pong.
